This Privacy Policy describes how Aestie, Inc., doing business as Aestie (“Aestie,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, and shares information. Aestie is a consumer platform for discovering, sharing, and researching cosmetic-treatment experiences. Because users may share photographs, treatment information, provider details, and other sensitive information, we take privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, how public contributions work, and the choices available to you.
1. Information We Collect
Information You Provide
- Account information: Email address, username, and password when you register. We do not require your real name to create an account.
- Profile information: Optional information you choose to add, such as a display name or bio. Aestie does not intentionally display your legal name or email with your public profile or contributions. However, photographs, provider information, location, treatment details, physical features, writing, or other information you submit may allow people to recognize or identify you.
- Physical appearance attributes: During onboarding, and at any time thereafter, you may provide self-described physical characteristics — such as skin tone, facial features, or other aesthetic attributes — to help us match you with relevant procedures, outcomes, and providers, and to rank and surface journeys most relevant to you. These attributes are used to personalize your experience and improve relevance within the Platform. They may also contribute to aggregated or de-identified insights as described in this Privacy Policy. You may request correction or deletion of these attributes by contacting privacy@aestie.co, or manage them through your account settings where that functionality is available.
- Structured journey content: Before/after photos, procedure details, provider information, pricing, recovery timelines, satisfaction ratings, and any other content you voluntarily submit.
- Contributions: Reviews, Q&A responses, community posts, and comments.
- Verification materials: If requested or voluntarily provided, appointment confirmations, receipts, or other information used to review the authenticity or eligibility of a submission. These materials are not displayed publicly.
- Payment information: If you subscribe to a paid tier, payment details are processed by our third-party payment processor. We do not store full card numbers.
- Creator and partnership program information: Information you provide when participating in a creator, ambassador, influencer, research, promotional, referral, or other partnership program with Aestie, including information needed to communicate with participants, administer the program, provide compensation or other benefits, prevent fraud, and otherwise manage the relationship.
- Communications: Messages you send to us via email or support channels.
Information Collected Automatically
- Usage data: Pages visited, features used, search queries, time spent, and click patterns.
- Device and technical data: IP address, browser type, operating system, and device identifiers.
- Cookies and similar technologies: We use cookies and similar tools to keep you logged in, remember preferences, and understand how the platform is used. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings.
- Referral data: How you arrived at Aestie (e.g., a shared link, social media, search).
Information From Third Parties
If you connect a social account to Aestie, we may receive basic profile information (name, email, profile photo) from that platform, subject to your settings there.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Operate, maintain, and improve the Aestie platform
- Display your contributions under a username or pseudonymous profile. Aestie does not intentionally display your legal name or email with your public contributions, but photographs and other submitted details may allow others to recognize or identify you.
- Match you with relevant procedures, outcomes, and providers, and rank and surface journeys most relevant to you, based on physical appearance attributes you provide
- Verify the authenticity of submitted journeys and reviews
- Manage your account, credits, and subscription
- Personalize your experience and surface relevant content
- Send transactional communications (account confirmations, password resets, contribution updates)
- Send product updates, launch announcements, newsletters, and promotional communications where you have opted in. You may unsubscribe through the link in any promotional email.
- Conduct internal research and analytics to improve platform quality
- Administer creator, ambassador, influencer, research, promotional, referral, or other partnership programs, including communicating with participants, providing compensation or other benefits, maintaining required records, preventing fraud, and otherwise managing those programs
- Publish or feature submitted content when you have agreed to that use
- Detect fraud, abuse, and policy violations
- Comply with applicable legal obligations
Aggregated and De-identified Data
We may aggregate and de-identify user data to generate anonymized insights — for example, trends in procedure satisfaction, outcomes, recovery, pricing, provider-related patterns, or demographic summaries. This data may be used for internal analysis and platform development or provided to research, analytics, pharmaceutical, device, and other organizations for purposes such as benchmarking, product development, and understanding treatment trends. We take care to ensure this data cannot be reasonably re-linked to you before any such use or sharing. Aestie will maintain de-identified data in de-identified form and will not attempt to re-identify it, except as permitted by law to test the effectiveness of its de-identification processes. Recipients of de-identified data will be contractually required to maintain it in de-identified form, take reasonable measures to prevent it from being linked to an individual or household, and not attempt to re-identify it.
Sensitive Personal Information
Information about your physical appearance, cosmetic treatments, recovery, results, and photographs may be sensitive. This may include skin tone, facial features, cosmetic-treatment history, recovery information, results, photographs, videos, and provider or appointment details.We use this information only as needed to provide and improve the Platform, personalize your experience, verify and publish authorized contributions, and fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy and any applicable Contributor Agreement. Aestie does not sell or license sensitive personal information or identifiable photographs, videos, or treatment information to third parties for their independent use.You may request correction or deletion of appearance attributes by contacting privacy@aestie.co, or manage them through your account settings where that functionality is available.
3. How We Share Your Information
Aestie does not sell or license sensitive personal information or identifiable photographs, videos, or treatment information to third parties for their independent use. Aestie may provide aggregated or de-identified data to third parties, including through paid research, analytics, or data-access arrangements, when the data does not identify or reasonably relate to an individual. We may share your information in the following circumstances:
- With other users and the public: Reviews, journey posts, photographs, ratings, provider details, pricing, recovery information, and other submitted content may be displayed publicly under a username or pseudonymous profile. Aestie does not intentionally display your legal name or email with public contributions. However, photographs or other details may allow people to recognize or identify you.
- With service providers: We work with vendors who help us operate the platform — including hosting, payment processing, contributor-payment administration, email delivery, analytics, fraud prevention, and submission review. These vendors access your data only to perform services on our behalf and are bound by contractual or confidentiality obligations.
- For Aestie communications and promotion: Where you have authorized it, Aestie may feature submitted content, including excerpts, ratings, photographs, videos, and treatment details, on its website, application, social media, emails, and promotional materials.
- With research and analytics organizations: Aestie may provide aggregated or de-identified data to third parties for research, analytics, benchmarking, safety analysis, market research, and product development, including through paid arrangements. We take reasonable steps designed to prevent this data from being linked to an individual. Aestie does not provide identifiable photographs, treatment details, or other identifiable personal information to these organizations for their independent use.
- With providers you name: If you attribute a procedure to a specific provider, that attribution and your public contribution may be visible on the provider's profile. Providers may report a contribution or submit information supporting a correction request. Aestie may contact you to review the issue, but we do not provide your private contact information to the provider unless required by law or authorized by you.
- For legal reasons: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government authority, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Aestie, our users, or the public.
- In a business transfer: If Aestie is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will provide notice and choices regarding material changes to the use of your personal information when required by applicable law.
4. Public Contributions and Pseudonymity
Aestie displays contributions under a username or pseudonymous profile rather than intentionally displaying your legal name or email. Pseudonymity does not guarantee anonymity. Photographs, provider information, location, treatment details, physical features, writing, or other submitted information may allow people to recognize or identify you.Public contributions may include reviews, photographs, videos, procedure details, provider or clinic information, pricing, recovery timelines, ratings, results, written experiences, and follow-up updates.You may contact Aestie to request correction of an objective error, an update to your journey, removal or restriction of certain photographs, or review of a privacy or safety concern. Aestie will review each request and decide what action is appropriate based on applicable law, safety, platform integrity, the circumstances, and any applicable Contributor Agreement or Terms of Use. Making a request does not guarantee removal.Aestie may retain or continue displaying content where permitted by law and consistent with the applicable Contributor Agreement and Terms of Use. Copies already distributed, incorporated into completed materials, or outside Aestie's reasonable control may not be fully retrievable.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account information, including email, credentials, and account settings, for as long as your account is active or as otherwise reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.Deleting your account does not necessarily delete published contributions. Contributions may remain displayed under a pseudonymous profile or be detached from your account. You may request correction, restriction, or removal of identifiable photographs or other content as described in Section 4. Aestie will review the request based on applicable law, privacy and safety concerns, platform integrity, and any applicable Contributor Agreement or Terms of Use.We may retain agreement and consent records, payment and tax records, fraud-prevention records, legal or dispute records, and other information needed for legal, accounting, compliance, security, and enforcement purposes. Backups may also retain information for a limited period before deletion or overwriting.Aggregated and de-identified data may be retained for as long as it remains useful for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, provided it continues to be maintained in de-identified form.
6. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. These may include access controls, encryption, monitoring, and secure service providers, where appropriate. No system is completely secure. If you have reason to believe your account has been compromised, please contact us immediately.If we experience a security incident involving personal information, we will investigate and provide notifications to affected individuals and authorities as required by applicable law.
7. Children's Privacy and Age Requirement
Aestie is intended only for users who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a person under 18, we will take appropriate steps to delete it.If you believe a person under 18 has provided personal information to Aestie, please contact us.
8. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete information
- Request deletion of your personal information
- Object to or restrict certain types of processing
- Receive a portable copy of your data
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
These rights may be subject to exceptions and verification requirements under applicable law. Deleting personal account information does not automatically require removal of public contributions governed by the applicable Contributor Agreement or Terms of Use.
We may need to verify your identity before completing a privacy request. Where required by applicable law, you may appeal our decision by replying to our response.

Our platform may contain links to third-party websites or services (e.g., provider websites, social platforms). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before sharing information with them.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When required, we will provide notice of material changes through email, the Platform, or another appropriate method. Material changes will not retroactively expand Aestie's rights to previously submitted content without additional consent where legally required.
